VAHAN 4.0 is used for vehicle registration, and other processes related to taxation, compliance, permits, and other, thereby making the entire process streamlined and efficient for both transport authorities and vehicle owners.
To change your mobile number to VAHAN 4.0, navigate to the update section after logging into the portal. Complete the verification process and update your new number on the portal.
Vehicle owners can find various vehicle-related information at this government website, such as manufacturer name, fuel type, chassis or engine number, colour, model, and various other online services.
Add your vehicle number to VAHAN 4.0 and visit the payment gateway through their tax payment option to pay road tax for your vehicle.
You can find the owner of the vehicle through the vehicle number by sending an SMS from registered mobile number to 7738299899. Type VAHAN<space>registration number and the message to find the owner.

The road tax imposed on any vehicle is calculated depending upon the age of the vehicle and the cost of the vehicle.
